Communication. Relationships. Strategy. Revenue. Go behind the scenes of hotel sales and discover how people skills translate into business strategy to drive the hospitality industry.
During this Field Trip Friday, students will explore what it takes to sell hotel experiences, build lasting client relationships, manage group business, and turn great service into successful business.
Students will learn how hotel sales teams work with clients to understand their needs, create the right experience, and bring events and group stays to life. Along the way, we’ll explore the many skills that go into sales—from communication and relationship-building to negotiation, problem-solving, strategic thinking, and understanding what motivates a customer.
This experience is especially relevant for students interested in sales, marketing, strategic communication, business, entrepreneurship, finance, economics, and event management.
