Go behind the scenes at Asher Adams, a luxury hotel in downtown Salt Lake City, and discover what it takes to operate a high-volume food and beverage program within a historic hotel. From restaurants and bars to banquets, room service, and special events, students will see how multiple teams and operations come together to create a seamless guest experience.

During this Field Trip Friday, students will explore the many moving parts behind hotel food and beverage—from culinary operations and service to events, staffing, guest experience, and business strategy. They’ll get a closer look at how teams coordinate across different outlets, respond to changing guest needs, and deliver consistent experiences in a fast-paced luxury environment.

This experience is especially relevant for students interested in parks, recreation & tourism, business, entrepreneurship, multidisciplinary design, event management, food and beverage, culinary arts, and other fields connected to the business of creating experiences.
